Doing rear brakes, I noticed the axle shaft moved in/out 2mm on passenger side making a large clunk when moved in/out

Passenger side in/out 2mm movement
Drivers side in/out 0.5 mm but still noticeable

Pulled cover, c-clip and axle out and It looks like there’s no way to adjust this. Axle looks good, Bearing looks good, seal will be replace.

Thoughts? advice? New axle shaft???

There is nothing wrong with that play. If you wish you can get a new c-clip and put in there but it is ok. Looks like there is some scum there at the seal so I would replace those seals while apart, as you have decided-good call. If you had no play there the bearing would have constant pressure on it and would wear out quickly.
