I’ve been thinking about a pushbar for thethirdtwin too. Deer armor if nothing else.

the parking assist seems to be the wildcard. So before spend anything I wanted to do a mock up.

I made templates for the uprights from thecopcar. Then taped them into approximate locations relative to the frame.

put them in place and started it up. No warnings, no seat buzzing. so far so good. Time to order right.

Waitaminutehere what about the middle crossbar. More cardboard And tape.

Location approximation from photos in the installation instructions for the bar I want.

No bueno. Nothing but butt vibration. Even tipped way up at an impossible angle, bzzz bzzzz bzzz

I decided to get actual K2 recovery hooks for thethirdtwin. I had a feeling the nnbs hooks would be recessed more than I wanted in case a pull happened at an angle, even though they would bolt right in.

Holy moly what a difference.

Changed the dome light modules in the overhead console on thethirdtwin. No more disco lights! The hardest part was unsnapping the console after the screws were out.

An entire half hour after the hooks arrived so did 70 pounds of steel deer armor.

I’m liking the crossbar on this new pushbar. Lots of mounting options for the future.

I relocated the inboard parking sensors to stop the false tripping. The left one gave me grief, even after replacing it. For now it’s unplugged, and all seems well in the world.

Night pics because I forgot to get then while it was still light out.

Well, leaving it unplugged lead to error message Service Parking System. Figures.

I saw a pic on another thread, or relocated sensors with a winch tray. So I flipped them outside. I’m not a fan of the look, but if it worked.

I flipped the left side, which was the giver of grief, to the outside. No error, so far so good.

Then I flipped the right, crrrraaaappppp. The error moved to the right side now.

No freakin way im leaving it asymmetric.

I really didn’t like the antlers look either.

On to plan D.

So far I’ve been using existing holes in the pushbar. If I move the sensor forward, it’s less likely to “see” the upright. Broke out the drill and moved as far as practicable.

Thinking I’d just leave the stock sensors in the original spot, I bought a new set of 4 aftermarket sensors. I’ve replaced the one giving me fits with a new one to no joy. Might out the original stock back in. Might also try one of the other new ones.

The baffling part is how the false reading flipped sides when the antler look was tried. So Im not sure the hardware is the issue.
