OEM style HeadUnit

W/ added BlueToothView attachment 251011View attachment 251012

The new Headunit operates as the original did, with easy BlueTooth interaction.

I was most surprised at how loud the new unit is at only 22watts per channel.
These are supposed to be the original factory specs.

I guess my old OEM radio was just tired after 25years....and a little rusty
I had no idea these existed. How well does the Bluetooth work? Set it and forget it?

Once you choose a source, like your phone or an iPod, the HeadUnit will automatically connect to that source when you push in the BLUE button for BlueTooth.

Pushing the button lets me switch from AM/FM to BlueTooth. The headhunt always remembers the source paired.
I've turned the truck on and off a dozen times and it had connected with the original source every time automatically.

It takes from 3 to 5 seconds to pick up the BlueTooth signal. A distinct chime is heard, and the Headhunt is then connected to the source.

I'm using an old iPod. It works great.

One tip,
Set the source device to full volume, but a flat EQ setting.

It is set and forget it.

The BlueTooth is a pre-amp to the AM/FM.

Push the Blue button to switch back and forth, no matter how long the car has been off; it will reconnect with the last programmed source......
........like this super old iPod.
