Tahoe converted to a truck

Hey guys. Around here older SUVs are cheap right now I have 3-99 4dr Tahoe’s. So here’s my idea: With one I’d like to remove the rear glass and cut 1/2 the box off along the mid seam. I would patch the rear door handles and I have a fiberglass tonneau cover to install.. after installing a rear window I would effectively be converting the hoe into a short bed truck... has anybody tried this??

Why not just get a shortbed chevy?

yes it has been done ive only ever seen a few pictures. basically just looks like if they had made an older avalanche.

I've never seen this. But it sounds interesting. It'd be a short wheelbase Avalanche, I guess. Post pics when you do it.

Reminds me a little of the Hummer pickup.

Yep. If someone were to do this for whatever reason it'd be much better to cut up a Burb as it'd be more useful
