Hey guys, any good resources for replacing the input shaft seal on the steering gear (04 Burb w/ 7,200lb hydroboost brakes)? I have a slow leak that I would like to fix and have no need to replace the entire box.
Seal kit $22 bucks google it . I did mine it's still leaking . I need replace the steering gear and now trying to figure out if last owner replaced pump with wrong one.
I ordered a seal kit today as well as a new pump which I believe is the correct one (I have the hydroboost brakes like you do). My pump is beginning to whine partly because I blew out the cooler last fall, I only noticed how noisy it was now that it is warm enough to drive with the windows down. I have avoided the Lucas oil and any other treatments as they only soften seals. It's only a matter of time until they blow out completely.
Google this one 503-0159 [emoji106] or 503-159 . 4 hole shaft going to steering wheel first plate there either 3 hole or 4 hole. 3 is 670 4 is 680. If I'm wrong let me know.
