So I installed a leveling kit on my 03 Tahoe. New keys, shocks, upper control arms and tie rods. I’m overall happy with it until I go bigger.

One thing that bugs me though is the squeaking from underneath. Sounds like an old spring bed mattress. Creek creek… squeak squeak… increases when I go over bumps… hard to tell exactly where it’s coming from, but definitely in the front. Anyone familiar with this or know of any remedies?

Did you settle the suspension before tightening up the bolts thru all the bushings? If you tightened them while it was still up in the air then all the bushings are bound up, may be the cause of your issue.

Also, did you grease those ball joints and tie rod ends?

I had an annoying squeek going over bumps. I finally tracked it down to the front sway bar end link bushings. No more squeeks.

Good deal. I replaced my swag bar links when I did the kit. I’ll get under there this weekend and check it out. Will report back my findings.

I had a nagging squeak (which has returned about 2 years later and need to investigate..), and it just turned out to be my passenger lower control arm bolts. They were tight af, but tightening them a little more made my squeak go away. Everything torqued to spec? Almost 100% of my front end was replaced when I bought it in 2018, but those parts and bushings are likely getting pretty worn, especially with my level.
