Something gave way front pass side

Pulling out of driveway and something didn’t feel right when backing over curb at the street. There wasn’t any noise. The truck rode funny. Bumpier it seemed. Not hard bumps by bouncyish. I turned around and put it back in the driveway. I got out to inspect and the pass side front wheel is clearly riding lower very close to fender well. From behind it looks like the truck is sitting with the one tire in a hole. Rear drive side raised up. Tire not making contact with well when sitting. Any ideas what I should check first? Is this an obvious failure? Again, no noise when it happened and none when driving it back. Thanks in advance. 2008 2-wheel drive. Everything factory. White.

you will need to get under it and look, take some photos and post them up without seeing them its just a wild guess

See what you can see from looking under there but it may not be obvious till you jack it up and remove the wheel. Try to jack up the whole front end with the jack centered at the front cross member. That way you can compare the two front sides. Then post some pics.

Imma think it's boken! That is some nasty lookin' shit right there. I am surprised that it made no noise. Do both sides when you do it and get aligned. Gobs of choices at RA depending on RPO codes. If you do the repair yourself, takes pics at the different steps. Or ask the shop to and forward so you can share here.


We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.


If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.
