I want to check the fuel pressure at the valve on the rail (1996 5.7L) and the test kit I have specifically states that it does not work on GM Vortec Throttlebody. I checked anyway and no, I do not have a hose or fitting that will screw on to the valve on the rail. It looks like a bit bigger than the usual schrader valve. Can someone recommend the right test gauge/fuel pressure tester for this?

Even though it says on the box that it is not for GM throttle body systems? I have that same kit for use on a different car and couldn’t get anything to thread onto the valve on the Tahoe fuel rail.

UPDATE: I was able to remove a fitting on the gauge itself and you are absolutely correct, it now fits the rail. I’m measuring 40psi which makes me think the filter needs replaced as it’s been a long time since it was last done. Thanks for your help...

Good deal, glad you got it sorted out.

As for the TBI on the box, technically ours had the central fuel injection versus TBI on 95 and under models. Those may not have had a threaded fitting on the line for testing. Instead, I think you had to splice into the fuel line at the filter or something.
