Snow chains/cables on Tahoe

Yup, chains wont fit. I know this cause i tried them on our vehicle which is AWD. Approx same size tire and wheel combo as you. I also tried them on the rear but there just isnt enough clearance either. I would not trust the cables, "Maybe" If you used the smaller rubber tensioners with additional hooks like 4 inches apart you might be able to run the cables on the rear but dont exceed 10 mph or the running boards are going to get shredded. We spend alot of time in mammoth as it is just up 395 from us, If your tahoe is 2wd than just buy the cables and carry them to be legal and hope to not have to install them, When you get to town just use the shuttles if it's dumping and park your vehicle? Enjoy your trip!
