you could mock something up with a big piece of cardboard and then use that as a frame to cut out some aluminum, might work for smoother air flow anyway

yea i mostly just want to add some support for the rear bumper in the middle but an entire pan shouldnt be hard to throw something together...its low enough it wouldnt really need to cosmetically be that nice. an angle at the front behind the rear axle a couple inches up as to not catch any air.

some 1/8" aluminum should be plenty? maybe find someone to add some ribbing to it if needed

ya sounds about right, just got to figure out a way to bend it, if you have a machine shop in town they can probably set you up once you have the measurements/angles needed.

Thats the lower skid plate, not the main one. BUT I still got it cause I want it!

Got the front one installed, ordering the transfer case plate next.

Little tip for you guys, the OEM bolts are 6-11 bucks if you buy them new, and then gm parts direct charges 15 bucks to ship em!!! yikes. The OEM bolt is special in that its self tapping/cutting as you drive it into the holes. The bolt is also an M10x1.5x25. SO what I did was I went to O' Reilly's and got some yellow zinc 10.9 bolts in M10x1.5 and washers, I got 8 so i can do the other plate as well, and that was 13 bucks for it all. Since the holes arent thread to start with, I took out a bolt from the plate that was installed, and then I used that as my "tapp" for all the other holes. Just threaded it in til I guessed enough was through the frame thickness, backed it out and bolted in the other bolts. Worked great! All tightened down snug and the plate is in there.
