Going to replace shocks on an ‘03 LT 4WD. Presently, bone stock original suspension. Truck is an intermittent daily driver. Will spend lots of time on dirt roads. Tows several times a year (did install Timbren Bump Stops), cargo bay gets used as a pick-up. And is camped out of. Does get used on highway for long weekend destination trips. Presently, running 285/75s. Looking for great ride shocks for above purposes. So far am leaning toward Bilstein 5100, 6150s or Fox 2.0. When shocks get installed, will also install Moog Z71 springs.

Looking to get folks experience (good/bad) recommendations to other brands, advice….

5100's are good, if the rears are nivvomat leave them alone, nothing out there to match or beat them.

Rears are standard not nivvomatt. Agree though on the ride, had an 05 with them, and in terms of comfort, there is no better.

I swapped my Autorides out with the 5100s and I love them. It rides so nice. From Summit Racing I got all for for under $400.

What size tires and wheels are you using. Is your rig lifted by any means?
