Its about as hidden as your Dad was growing up....
.....pretty fu&%ing invisible.
....until you shine a light on it, and there it is...in the hole with the rest of the garbage.
....probably full of drugs...
Little bit of Dremel work and riveting....
Here I have cut a hole out in the rear and riveted a piece of aluminum angle for an attachment point for the electric lock. I used nylon spacers on the latch because they worked and I had them lying around.
The rubber nub thing is a expansion plug. I mounted it here so that when the drawer was launched open, it would have a bumper of sorts as a stopper.
This thing opens with authority!!!

Time to make a bottom for this bucket...
Looking down into the console you dont see the drawer outline because of the velvet texture. The added depth is going to be nice too! Its big enough for a large sack of taters!
