service brake system reset?

Hi - I have a 2004 Yukon 4x4 and I replaced the T55 Torx caliper pins on the front brakes with the 18mm hex head pins. In doing the job, I had to push the pistons in slightly to get the calipers back on the pads. Pads and rotors are in like new condition. When I got done putting all back together, the red brake light came on and the service brake system message appeared. I think it came on since I had to pump the brakes to get the pedal back up. The system is fine and the brakes are great, but I can't get the message and light cleared, even after disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a minute. Any help is appreciated!
