Hitch looks ok but the hookup rusted right thru . It's hard to wash salt off back side I guess .. is there a easy fix ? Weld plate in front of it ? Why would they make it so thin ..

That salt is awful. Be sure and wash out the frame now and then and pay close attention to the body to frame mounts. I'd cut the little plate off and go with the part listed above, and really clean the rest of that and paint.

Reminds me.... years ago a friend of mine came over to swap out the ball on his hitch, he had his trailer and boat hooked up (pretty big boat iirc) .... we disconnect the trailer and I’m looking at the ball when I realized there was no hitch pin.....the only thing that was holding everything together was the ****** rust...he was driving around all day with the boat hooked up and no hitch pin.... ahhh the power of rust...

I will go after it with pointed hammer see if rusted anywhere else thanks for all the great tips .. this rig never pulled anything paint was still in receiver hitch pretty crazy but came with rust to everywhere else . I got a pretty crazy set tires throws rocks alot it's finding the weak points .[emoji849][emoji106]
