The power running board on the driver side won't fully retract. I can lift up on it and it seems loose. I had this issue on another vehicle but the board would not retract then deploy. That dealer got it working again without a new motor. Has anyone had this issue and have any suggestions for a fix at home?

OK. I figured out my running board problem. I live in an area where our state road crews feel the need to continually spread stones, or chips as they call them, any time we get one snowflake falling. There was a buildup in the running board where the motor pulls it up. I shop vacuumed the stones out and it works fine now.
