Replace lights in tailgate for missing upfitter lights

I have a 2012 Tahoe that the up fitter/dept had put lights in the tailgate next to the license plate. When they decommissioned it they put some stick rubber patches over the holes. Unfortunately they are no longer effective. Has anyone found some aftermarket lights that will fit in these holes? I am thinking hooking up some backup lights here. The hole is 3-1/2" by 1-1/4".

You might start with the different strobes made by Feniex or Abrams to see if one of those will do the trick.
