I have a '07 Tahoe, it's burgundy, and it still has the door moldings. I'd like to remove them, but I'm wondering how terrible it's going to look due to paint fade. Any idea? It's been garage kept, but I'm not sure that's enough to make a difference here.

Without removing them it will be hard to tell. You might remove one and take a look, if it is not too bad them remove all of them.

The new paints are pretty decent about color holdout, they should have UV blockers in them. Unfortunately until you try it, and with so many factors no one would probably be able to give you a definitive answer.

And mine is even the same color as yours. When did you remove yours?

a year and a half ago and there's NO difference. Just a little dirt around the edges that a buffer will take off
