I was thinking of painting or wrapping the chrome strip down the doors of my Denali. Has anyone just removed the strip instead of blacking it out? I am afraid it will look like something is missing if I just remove the chrome without putting it back blacked out. Anyone done this? Got any pics?

No responses... so the question is:

Can I remove the chrome door trim and not replace it?

It is just taped on or are there holes?

Would that look odd like something is missing?

I'm in the same boat!

Looks like it will appear as if something is missing. It's on all models of 2015s. Could be a trial and error. Post pics when you get it done.

It's just tape that holds it on. I don't have it on mine.

Too much chrome for me. I'll probably pull it and see. If it looks like something's missing, I can get them painted or wrapped.

That's why I didn't go with the Denali. Just more chrome for me to get rid of.

Looks like you have the chrome trim around your windows?

Yeah I just haven't got rid of it yet. One of the things on the list, along with the running board trim.
