OK, purchased some H11 LED’s off of Amazon.

1st issue is the plug does not match the plug i pulled from the HID.

2nd issue, I have no idea how to remove the HID bulb, just wont come out, won’t pull, won’t twist, it has the silver box/ballast on it.

    Anyone attempt this one yet?

There is a plastic clip that slides up and down to lock the HID's in place, I have changed the HID's and installed led high beams, but left the HID's for the low beams. I am pretty sure you will need to change the connector. Here is a video that explains the clip that holds the HID in place, different bulb but same HID setup

    I don't see how going from a 25w bulb to a 35w bulb equals 150%, I went with a 45w and didn't notice much difference at all

Our trucks take the D3S bulbs, the brightest output bulb in a test of 12 different bulbs in a Chevy Tahoe was the Osram Night Breaker Laser Xenarc, these offered more light output than the Philips X-tremeVision Gen2 that I had in the truck to replace the stock GM bulbs, the Philips were better than the stock bulbs in light output, but the Osram's are even better. I have a home in upstate NY, where is it very dark and great for testing bulbs.

Why do you want to change HIDs to led lamps? HIDs are much better and the light output/beam pattern is way more appropriate than any aftermarket led lamp will deliver.

There are some awesome lightning threads that covers most of lightning basics with examples and detailed explanation of what is appropriate and what's not.

The light from LED's will appear brighter to the eye than HID, but HID will project the light further than LED. LED's are superior for lighting things that are viewed (indicators, warning lights, etc). Not headlights.

The silver box on the back of the D3S bulb is not the ballast.

Here is a thread with a few photos and pointers on how to remove the stock D3S HID bulbs:
    https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/hid-replacement-question.113988/

Next steps would be to go ahead and return those LED H11 bulbs you bought from amazon and start reading up on HID D3S bulbs.

Question; I had halogens in my 18. Replaced with LED's. Did not replace the highs though. Still looking for better projection. Can I use the D3S bulbs without anything or do I need a resistor or something else? The guy that sold me the LED's said the HIDs burn out more often. Thanks for the help!!
