HEY FELLAS. NEW GUY HERE. I'VE GOT A 07 LT TAHOE, THAT HAD A LIFTER FAIL AT 150,000. SO I ENDED UP THROWING A TSP STAGE 1 TRUCK CAM IN. LOW LIFT. NOTHING SERIOUS. I HAD THE STOCK 799 HEADS CLEANED UP, WITH TSP VALVE SPRINGS, LIFTERS AND RODS. ADDED LONG TUBES, S&B CAI, AND A BORLA MUFFLER. IT IS TUNED ON 93. IT SEEMS TO GET UP, SOME, BUT NOT LIKE I EXPECTED AFTER SPENDING 4K ON EVERYTHING, LOL. IM WANTING TO REGEAR, BUT NOT EXACTLY SURE WHICH RATIO TO GO WITH. NOW, MY TAHOE IS 4X4, AND SPENDS A LOT OF TIME AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, AND TOWS PRETTY HEAVILY ON OCCASION. THE KIDS GOT ME A SET OF 4.56'S FOR FATHERS DAY, BUT DIDN'T GET THE 8.25 FOR THE FRONT, JUST GOT TWO 8.5'S. SO SINCE WE HAVE TO SWAP ONE OUT, MIGHT AS WELL GET SOME VIEWS ON WEATHER OR NOT TO STICK WITH THESE OR GO TO A 4.11. MY ULTIMATE GOAL HERE IS TO GAIN SOMETHING OFF THE LINE. MORE GET UP AND GOView attachment 250699 View attachment 250700 View attachment 250701 View attachment 250699 View attachment 250700 View attachment 250701

Welcome to the forum Joshua. Rather than put a band aid on it, why not remove the parts that don't work? The camshaft killed your bottom end (and the headers helped too) and moved the rpm band much higher.

Those '07 4x4s came with 3.73s or 4.10s. I reckon you have 3.73s? What size tires are those?

Sorry guys. Started the post on the work computer, and the older gents can't see to good, lol. I've got the 3.73's now and 33 12.50 18's. From the research that I've done, I can't get the 4.10's. It bumps to the 4.11's. The wife drives this, as I'm getting a ppv tahoe, and building that one. I thre the stage one in, just to give it some sound and a little emphf. I figured the 4.11's would give me more low end back that I lost. Vs the 4.56's. The 4l60e already has a low gear, and adding 4.56's would really throw it down.

That'll do it, 4:10s/4:11s.

With 33’s and that cam go with 4:56. I had 33 with factory 4:11 and went to 4:56.

If its the Texas Speed Low Lift 208/214, .550/.550, 112 LSA Camshaft I don't see that you would have lost a ton of low end. 4.56 would probably be fine on the highway as long as you never get smaller tires. But If your wife is mostly going to drive it then I'd do 4.10s and keep the 4.56s for the PPV you want to build.

I currently have 3.73's and plan to upgrade to 4.30's this summer. With 33's rpms should be about 200 more vs stock at 70 mph. I pull a TT so I'm looking for more off the line oomph and greater hill climbing ability. Truck also has a TSP stage 1 cam.
