in order to change it to disksk i would have to chnge the whole differential?

other then that, mine havent been changed since i got it 4 years ago. But i took off the drums and it was pretty dusty. So im thinking if i cant get disks an easy way then i atleast wanna swap out the old hardware and shoes and replace everything brand new. Any thoughts?

i have a SSBC kit for my truck, but i need to get new hardware for it, because the kit i bought is for a 11" drum rearend instead of mine being 10"
But the SSBC kits are pretty nice, but are a pretty penny.

For what its worth,my original rear end came with 11" drums.I guess thats what the 2WD Police Tahoe's came with in 1999,i also have 5 lug axles.

yea, if you look on SSBCs website, its like every year they changed how big the drums were? its stupid how GM did it. some yrs 10" other yrs 11". 2wd 11" 2wd 10" doesnt make sense.

I would like to try and just see if the kit bolts up to my truck properly, but you need to take out the axle shafts, and if it doesnt work, then i cant move my truck for a good 3 weeks due to ordering new parts, gaskets for the pumpkin and gear oil
