Hi guys,

I just picked up a new Pioneer avh-p4100dvd last week and went into my local stereo shop to get a quote on install. Everything went fine, but the guy told me I need a LAN interface so if I take it into a dealership they can diagnose any potential problems.

Now here's my question...

I never use On-Star so I'm wondering if this specific interface would be good to go to use with the Pioneer. If not than can someone point me in the right direction.

It is considerably cheaper ($80 vs. $175) than the shop quoted me on the part.

I have an 2007 LS Tahoe w/o Bose by the way.

Thanks For Any Help.

If you do not want to use the On Star features then that will work fine, but you can find the PAC-OS4 on eBay for that price and it will allow you to retain everything just in case you do have to use your On Star one day.
