ESKY rear vent caps/covers will go to the paint shop tomorrow and eventually the truck will receive a ESKY Roof Rack as well.

Here the question now:

Should the plastic piece surrounding the 3rd Brake Light be painted to match the vehicle color as well, or should it stay black to off set EVERYTHING somewhat?

-----> I am NOT planning on putting a ESKY 3rd Brake Light there.

What have you guys done if you put ESKY covers on a Yukon? I believe Tahoes do not have this plastic piece.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

PS - moving this to the exterior section since it should be there to begin with

IMO it looks good as is. The only thing I'd want to do is get some smooth appliques for the back to get rid of the "vents".

Since you are color matching the caps.....get that section painted. I just recently painted mine. I was getting tired of always armour all'ing it ;) It was fairly easy-I had to pry (carefully) the edge along the glass to separate the adhesive from the window. Then I scraped off all the excess on both the trim piece and the window. In hindsight, I should have sanded it to remove the texture but it turned out pretty good anyways. I put new red 3M tape along the edge and re-installed it.

Thanks Jacob.

The truck will also receive a ESKY Roof rack and that shall be it, I think. ;-)

SWEET, thanks J. You mind taking some pics to show what it looks like?

Thanks in advance.

So, while dropping the ESKY vent covers off at the paint shop, I was convinced by my painter to also paint the plastic piece surrounding the 3rd Brake Light.

Decision made, took the piece off and left it there.

Pics to follow once I install everything again. Noticed that the double sided tape was no longer holding well anyhow, so I would have had to take it off for proper re-installation anyhow.
