I am almost done with the mechanical side of the work and then the tune. I doubt that I will get deeper in the engine and trans. I already use the Corvette servo in the trans.

Still no contact back from either Fed Ex or RA about my missing hose assembly. They want me to wait till the 22nd before responding back or even re-ordering. Problem is that RA had just the one hose and is now out of stock.

But wait! I just checked and now the hose is back in stock. I am gonna order it.

But wait again! Tried to order it and when I did it says that the quantity is "0" and not the "1" it shows in availability. PITFA!

Yes, talked to regular driver yesterday. The part was delivered to the wrong address at 9 am on the 16th. My office is not open till 9 am and my Fed Ex driver does not come till 1-2 pm when he does come here. He said the part must have been delivered by Fed Ex Express. When I print out the delivery info it says the guys name and shows delivery in Eugene, Or. but where there is a place for a street address on that form, is blank. I can't even go there and get it my self. The regular driver said he would search for the package as well and get with that Express driver.

The driver I trust because one day he came here for advice in his own car. He saw my ASE certs on the wall in my office and knew what they are. He had a noise and slight high/erratic idle and was going to trade in vehicle. I removed his engine cover and could hear the vacuum leak even better. Located a swollen vacuum hose that was not tight at one end of the connection. I have a few sizes of vacuum hose I keep here. I replaced his hose, idle came down and smoothed out and he was happy as a pig in ****! He traded the car in and got what he wanted. I did not charge him a cent.

If you look real close you can see some scrunch/squeeze/cram it home spots on one of the small tower fingers. That was the only way I could push the finger in there. They are just as flexible as the others and when used they are not trying to pull themselves out of the slot in the tower.

So, yesterday I went to the shop and it was so hot that we only got the parts out of the boxes and laid out for the work. The temp I saw on my Weather Channel app was 108 but they said on the radio that the heat was 111 degrees and that broke the old record. Hottest I have ever seen in Eugene, Or. Lots of people went to the coast where it was 35-40 degrees cooler depending on the location. I was all set to bring in last Monday but complications happened at the shop and with the RA/Fed Ex shipping. My friend said he would start to day on the stuff that he knows I don't want to do and then each night I will show and help with all the rest. I drove around all week putting $10 gas in the tank to keep it low. I dropped it with 1/8th tank.
