Any AUDIO GURUS in here?
I have an '06 Yukon with factory Panasonic DVD. I installed an aftermarket double DIN unit with the PAC adapter so steering wheel controls, etc work. Since doing this I get no audio output from the DVD player.
I'm thinking of tapping into the "remote playback" wire for left and right at the harness on the DVD player then splicing the wires to connect to RCA type connections - then running these as INPUT into the Deck.
Wiring Pins for harness:
Pin.
1. not used
2. vcm class 2 serial data
3-4. not used
5. Remote playback device right audio signal
6. Remote playback left audio
7. Ground
8. not used
9. Battery + voltage
10-11. not used
12. Remote playback device common audio signal
Is this possible??
If not have any of you gone with a newer and larger screen? I'd consider this if I could find one that would fit that does NOT have a DVD player integrated. My head unit has a DVD player of it's own... Thanks.
