Painting help

I purchased a 2018 'Burban a couple of years ago, made a few minor changes, and now want to change color from summit while to pepperdust, or Light beige metallic.
Light Beige metallic was the color on my 99 Yukon that I had for 20 years, and did some up grading to. I'd like to use Yukon paint, if possible?
I haven't had a car painted in 40 years or more, so don't know what to expect, lookout for....
Average cost, paint supplier, what can I do before handing over the the Painter.
Any assist is appreciated.

You are looking at a big surprise probably better off looking for different truck. The value of your present truck will go down considerably, if you would trade for color you want, you'll come out ahead.
I'm not a painter but a good factory paint job jamb door, fenders, pull emblems, bumper covers, etc. your probably talking $10000 or more. Color change is expensive project.
I like the color you're wanting to paint though.

Got 2 estimates....more than $10k the other almost double?????
Estimates were from collision repair shops, seems auto painting as a stand alone is non-existant "Cept for Macco.
Probably look for another used, in Pepper dust Metallic.

Anyone have a opinion on the paint jobs from Macco, I'm thinking their 'best' paint job ...door jambs etc
Wanting to hear from some one that may have used them.
I know it's macco....get what you pay for. Going summit white to pepper dust metallic. I'll pay extra for one extra base and top coat, may not be worth it......again opinions.

That's alot of surface area to paint. Most collision places aren't painting the whole car/truck/suv. I would try and go to more a specialty shop that paints entire cars or does restorations. Checked out their work.
Have you looked into a wrap for it? Should be less than painting it.

Well I went to Macco for an estimate on a complete paint job ... Estimate including all door and hood jambs $4,535.78
They don't remove doors hood etc., but still prep and paint the jams ?????
I decided against the Macco paint job.

My first SUV, a 1999 Yukon SLT, purchased new, had it 20 years worked at it until it looked pretty good.

Sold it, replaced it with a 2018 'Burbon LT in Summit white, called it the 'Great White' . Had it several years, but
could not get used to the white, and wife didn't like the extra length.

Came across a outfit that would work with me on my Suburban, had it shortened 20", color change from Summit
white to Pepper dust Metallic, new sun roof, added push to start, and a slew of other details for just under $10,000.
quick turn around, picked it up 01/26/23.
I think they did a good job........
This is an upgrade of my Yukon, I'm happy.
I sold the Yukon 'cause I was getting older, 85 next June.
Just didn't want to expend the energy, or time it takes to keep everything going.
