I know this is an old thread but instead of starting another thread, I figured i'd just post in here.
I just got these same codes on my 07 denali xl. I got underneath the car and notice the plastic wire loom around the wires going to the tcm was bad. so I cleaned, replaced the wire loom, and reset the cel and it hasn't came back on yet... going on two weeks now.
p1825- internal mode switch: invalid range
p0700- transmission control system malfunction
if the cel were to come back on, I would replace the internal mode switch with a new one.
(ac delco pn#24258550). Rockauto has them for $22.79.
