Camshaft position sensor circuit?

I’ve read of various folks here having it.
There are a variety of reasons that you could have this code.

How many miles do you have on the vehicle?

Any recent work done on it?

Could just be a bad sensor or something more serious.

Well, if you have a good scan tool, like a Tech2, I would think you can see if the sensor is just not putting out the proper voltage or if the sensor is telling you you have bigger issues. At 200K+, you could have a timing chain that is stretched. I am not familiar with what the 4.8 has for a timing chain tensioner. I have also seen where the sensor gets messed up due to metal filings collecting on it and messing it up.

Is that the only code you have? Are you by chance getting a crankshaft position code as well?

The sensor should be on the timing cover down by the crank pulley.

According to RA there is this tensioner in there. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=3478017&cc=1433503&jsn=2305
