I use Blackstone as well. I run 13k-15k mile OCIs with Mobil 1 EP 5w30... but my oil system/filtration system isn't stock.

I do it on occasion. Here is my latest from black stone. The latest oil change was amsoil xl at 6k miles and the previous was rotella gas truck at 3k.

I would gather from this report that the Rotella Gas Truck is the better value in terms of price or bang for the buck. What's your thinking?

Agreed. And with the past sale at about 2 bucks a quart gas truck was a steal. I loaded up for the next 8 oil changes. According to their MSDS sheet the base oil is synthetic just like pennzoil ultra plat.

Back in august advance auto parts had a sale. It was 2.50/qt but their 25% off coupon worked and it shouldn’t have. They eventually pulled the discount but kept the price the same for a few weeks.

I have used Blackstone for years on my race machines. They are great and have allowed me to double my oil change interval in several vehicles, making the service pay for itself.

My Denali's analysis with 7k miles on Royal Purple 5 30 came back great, about to change at 10k this weekend and will check again.

I read on BITOG that almost all brands went to GF-6 and reformulated their products lines, some more than others. I am seeing that latest Mobile 1 EP is now all class III (<5% PAO) based on flashing and pour points at least in 0w20 weight, mighty Exxon is buying GTL from SOPUS for new EP oils.
SOPUS is also changed their entire lineup, the reformulated yellow unicorn PUP is now $20 at Walmart and on Amazon in all weights. In fact RTG is now couple bucks more.
I cannot locate VOAs for these new oils, I might end up paying my contribution to this forum and BITOG and will send re-formulated PUP and M1 EP to Blackstone or better Polaris to do VOA but before I invest if anyone knows of VOA for these GF-6 oils please let me know.
