I'm glad this thread came up as I am cleaning up a used engine to replace mine with a low oil pressure problem (bearing material in the oil). I had heard about the longer filters but had not gotten around to looking for the number. Also, I just came across that "great deal" on the ACdelco plugs last week and was going to post on that myself. I have also come across other products with GM part numbers on them coming out of China. Prices are so tempting so my wallet is fighting with my common sense.

After answering the post above, I went over to ACDelco's website, plugged in my VIN to see what the latest oil part numbers were. What surprised me is there is now 2 oil recommendations, one for RWD and one for 4WD vehicles. Synthetic blend for the former and full synthetic for the latter. Interesting.
