I posted this in the 00-06 suspension thread but was directed by another member to see what i can get here. So i have a OBS 2000 Denali. My front end sits at about 6.5 inches tire to fender and the rear is at about 4 inches. What are my options with lifting the rear end to level it out? Are there some kind of special extended shocks i could get? I wouldn't mind a lift but they are too expensive and I wouldn't want a huge lift especially now maybe sometime down the road. Any advice on what i could do now to level out the truck?

Thanks

I just got my 2000 OBS Yukon Denali lifted back from the shop today, and all you have to do is take it to a spring shop and have them re-arch your rear leaf springs and that'll do the job, trust me i just had it done today. and i had mine re-arched 4" and it only cost me 300$ installed. check out my thread. Ill be posting pics of the truck tomorrow. And i also have a 1.5" rear block that i had bought and turns out i didnt need it so if you want to buy it let me know

Why do people measure this way? The wheel arch almost always is higher on the front to allow more room for the front tire to steer.

Measure from straight body lines, on a '00 denali you can measure the body line half way up the door.

unknown at this time.
Because as originally designed it is supposed to be higher in the rear. that is what it is supposed to be when not loaded. pisses me off that nearly every lift i have seen here has a sagging ass. it just improper, ugly, and just plain stupid.

me personally, I like it higher in the front than rear, not to mention it actually helps squat the rear end when you are approaching a steep dune. (Thats just my opinion) But I only mean 1-2" higher in the from. anything more than that is just cheezy...

If your rear end is sagging it is time to replace the springs. If you get the springs re-arched make sure they used the heated process NOT THE COLD.
