New tires needed, open to options

I run the falken rocky mountains. (Same things as the wild peaks.) I like mine. Im not getting very good wear with mine for some reason. The outsides are pretty soft. They do great in the mud though and rain there good. I rotate them every 5000 and arent wearing very good. Im gunna switch to the goodyear duratracs when i need new ones. But goodluck with your purchase.

Have you had an alignment to make sure you don't have positive camber? Pretty easy to do if you put larger sized tires on that factory but I don't really have all the details.

How many miles do you have on your set and how much more do you think you can realistically get? It's the first negative thing I've heard... you're not going to use the treadwear warranty?

I saw this when I put on the new 35's. Also saw the outside edge looked more "scrubbed" than the rest of the tread.
Changed the upper, and lower ball joints (both sides)and had a full (including front camber) align.
Don't think I'll get to find out if the tires would wear more even now.... dammit'

My advise is to stay away from tires made with Korean rubber, which tends to be soft and wear out quickly.

Have you looked into the Kelly TSR's? Great tire and the price is very reasonable. I have a set of Mastercraft A/T2's and the tread wear on them is amazing. Mastercraft's very cheap, and for the money, you cannot go wrong.

i have a set of them on my 01 z71 and love them. can hear them a little on the highway but not near as much as the stt i had.

my buddy had them on his jeep and he loved them, they were fairly aggressive and did well in most of anything we went through, now me on the other hand im all about general grabbers, im on my third set in the second vehicle and i have nothing but good things to say about them, i had two sets on my jeep, 30s and 33s and they were great in 33s, i did just as well in deep mud then my friend with swampers, and they are fantastic in rain and they work awesome in snow, i have them on my yukon now and i love them, they have a pretty aggressive look and they resemble bfgoodrich ats a lot except they have twice as much siping, they have about 7000 miles on my yukon now of mostly street, a few off road adventures from time to time and also some snow and they still look brand new, also they have fairly stiff sidewalls so they handle very well for an allterrain tire, and they are pretty quiet too, and no japanese rubber, most of the sets are either made in the us or canada, i think a few in mexico thats my .02

I won't buy used ones for this truck. Except for a spare set or soley offroad. But I have looked regardless.

Sup Bow?, been a while but i'm back.. Anyway, i'm in the same boat as you.. As for tires i'm goig with dick cepek radial F-C 2 or Nitto Trail grapplers and wheels XD-Addict series-MAtte black, I'm done with the polishing s**t LOL!

Polishing sucks. Teflon I like, it wipes clean so fast.

I'm still up in the air on the tires but will be getting something by the months end

My buddy bought the Toyo 35" tires and they were real smooth. Almost no road noise and lasted a long time but they arent as aggressive looking as other brands.

I like the Kumho KL78's I have on my '96, but they are wearing much, much quicker than the Yokohama Geolandar HT's I had before. Both are 285/75/16's, and I got over 50K on the HT's (60K warranty) - by comparison, I'll be lucky to see 35K with the KL78's (no mileage warranty) .
