Just recently bought a new to us 2015 Tahoe LTZ. I used to have a 2014 Grand Cherokee that I loved and adored, but had to sell for a bigger vehicle for my growing family. My husband and I both like to "mod" our vehicles so here's to our new project. We've (meaning him) already put new struts and shocks on it as well as a set of 2020 GMC AT4 wheels and tires (we found out quickly how crappy the magnaride is). We also changed out the badges to black OEM Chevrolet ones and now we're waiting for new black mirror replacement covers to come in the mail. Any other ideas? We like tasteful mods ;)

Welcome to the forum from Oregon. We like pics a bunch.

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

It looks like you got yourself a very good new-to-you truck. Once you complete the known maintenance items, you can start to seriously consider what mods make sense to you.

I trust that you will become a participating member on this Forum's discussions. Two-way communication increases our knowledge base.

Another Peachstate Tahoe! Welcome!

Magneride (MRC) requires maintenance to keep the ride nice. When a shock gets dead, the ride suffers. The price of luxury.

Truck looks great, is she a 4x4?

Thank you! Yeah my hubby decided to delete the mag ride because of how often people buy new shocks for it. Luckily he used to build trucks so he’s pretty skilled in all that. Yes, had to be a 4X4 for him. I wanted a sunroof he wanted 4wd haha!

What kit did he use to delete the Magnaride? I am thinking that Bilstein shocks and a leveling kit would ride better than this magnaride shit....

You guys are going to love it. They are more off-road friendly than folks give them credit for, especially with the right tires. Keep the fluids clean and the drive line will last a long long time.

JBEngineering on EBay, username JSV460. It rides SO much better now. We put A/C delco auto level shocks (gm23458661) on the back-
Deletes mag ride, keeps auto level. My hubby said you have to buy a ton of stuff to put bilsteins in the front, as to why we didn’t get them. We have Monroe quick struts for the front. (He used to build trucks for a living so he is very knowledgeable about all this)

Yes that is the kit. That only does either the front or rear, you would need to purchase two kits to do a complete magna/air delete. If you want to keep air ride, only buy one of these kits and one of the shock simulator only kits from the same seller.

I am really thinking I need to get this done. So what exact parts did you order? Which shocks, and leveling kit do you have?
