I am looking to put 4 10's or 12's in my tahoe in a sealed box. What brand do you guys like? Probably entry level subs. I have been looking at MTX and Rockford. Also looked into MA because I had a pair of them before that sounded good but I hear nobody runs them. Any ideas or thoughts would help. And amp? how many watts?

well 4 10's, sealed will still be roughly 4 cu ft, and ample power. What's your budget for amp and speakers?

mtx and MA are dying audio companies. dont buy their shit. rockford is ok but 4 10s or 12s would be a pretty nasty setup. i would go with 2 10s or 12s JL audio W7s. thatll be as loud as 4 12s

I like my Rockford Fosgate P3D412. It's a quality sub. I don't know what yall are saying, plus I got for $118.00 online.

Kicker has pretty good subs, if you're looking for a good price, I would go with the Comp VR subs from kicker. They are 400watt RMS i believe, so thats not too bad, and on ebay $160 per pair (for 12s). It comes in 10, 12, or 15 inch. But like stated above JL is the best quality, just a lot of money.

ELEMENTAL DESIGN FTW!! i had a pair of 18s and they are decently priced!! and hit harder them w7's, and they are similar to jl as they don't require alot of wattage to sound awesome. http://www.edesignaudio.com/index.php?cPath=1
and they are running a really good deals for black friday and pretty fast shipping

Alpine's and JL's are absolute garbage compared to most of the subs offered by the vendors here: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/

Personally, I've got some OOOOOOOld-school Celestion 15's in my rear quarter-panels, with some Powerbass 10's up front in my center console to solidify the staging. Works pretty damn well, if you ask me, although I'd be happy with the sound I get from just the 10's.

Whats your budget?
I would do 2 dc audio level 3 12 with a sundown saz-1000 amp.
Both companies are the most reliable imo. Sundown customer service is the best hands down.

1st off when u ask on a forum ,what brands some one is going to say one is the best and others r better and the rest are shit. i have had a lot of subs. alpine rockford esclipse kicker mtx pioneer. and the list goes on. most with the same amp and boxs. your best bet is to go to a good shop and see what they have and hear them. pick your amp 1st then pick your subs.
i used to work at a shop and still do time to time. ive heard a lot of subs. thats my 2cents.

as far as entry level i probably would go with some kicker comp vr's, but if you want to step it up give the kicker cvx's a try
