Need a new head unit

I have started to notice my stock radio/CD player is starting to go out on me and when I get some cash will be getting a new head unit. I like the look of the factory stuff, would it be possible to get a GM navigation, or even an '08 unit to put in place of mine? And what would be involved in doing so?

If that's going to be too much work, what head units are you guys running, and any pictures of the dash would help.

Im not sure...however, the BEST head unit I've ever come across in my LIFE..was the Avic Z2
