Wondering if NNBS rear axle assemblies are the same as NBS or not?

If not, are any of the NBS rear assemblies different?

I have an '03 Yukon, 5.3 with 3.73 gears. Wondering if any of the Denali or other 6.0L Yukons or Tahoes may have had heavier duty axles that will bolt in to my rig?

Thanks!

just slap a Eaton Detroit in it, 99% unlikely it will ever break, will run you about a grand if you have a shop do it. Not very many people have driven or ever will drive one of those harder than I did and all I did was wear out the bearings after about 3yrs.

Thanks, but my reasoning is different. Just wanting to know what axles are a direct swap physically.

NNBS have a wider track, about 1 inch. The 6.0s probably came with RPO AXN, the 14-bolt 9.5" semi-floating rear axle. Maybe someone here with a 6.0 1/2-ton Suburban or Escalade can confirm? This was the axle also used (wider track) in 4x4, and RWD 6.0 and 6.2 equipped GMT-900s.

AXN axles became available only for NNBS I think

only reason I can see doing it is if it was rust/damage issue or the housing was worn out I took mine to 324k of severe torture, lol and then sold it and last time I saw it was still rolling
