Hi - after a couple weeks of daily craigslist and marketplace crawling, I came across an '00 Escalade that was being parted out and still had seats available. From another thread I saw that front seats from an "OBS '00 Escalade" should bolt right in... so I took a leap of faith and bought the Escalade seats. Can you guess what happens next...?

I just got them home last night, pulled out the passenger seat from the Tahoe and put the Escalade seat in...nope they most certainly do not just "bolt right in". The Escalade seat bracket is not as long so the holes to bolt to the floor do not line up. I can either line up the front bolt or the rear bolt holes.

Also I don't see anyway that I can get the seat brackets off of each seat and swap, plus it looks like the Escalade seat rails are wider anyway.

So I'm pretty bummed out because these Escalade seats were in very good condition and even the right color.

What I'm hoping for is someone who knows more about this stuff then I do might have a suggestion. No I don't want to just drill holes in the body (safety first after all). I don't know enough about fabrication/cutting/welding stuff - that is way out of my ability - I am very willing to pay a shop/specialist but I don't even know who I'd be looking for.

Anyway just trying to find any hope that this can work before giving up. Thanks!

I know this is an older thread but on YT there is a video from an outfit that makes adapter brackets to bolt newer seats in our GMT 400 vehicles. They're on FB also. Wish I could remember their name.

They should have bolted right in. Even if the floor holes don’t match up, you should be able to detach the seats from the risers and just swap risers. The bolt pattern from riser to seat is the same between almost all 80s-90s GM vehicles, including the C/Ks, Tahoes/Yukons/Burbs, Escalades, Camaros/Firebirds, and Bonnevilles off the top of my head. Bucket seats from any of those vehicles in this generation will swap risers without modification
