I wanna add a rear sub/subs box/amp to my stock Bose system 2007 Tahoe LT. Affordable, do it myself, add some kick in the ass, but not overkill. What do you recommend? Preferably something with grates on it so shit sliding around in the cargo area don't damage the cones.
do you have third row seats?

lol, join the crowd if it is a 07 plus there is no flasher, you can however turn the volume down in the DIC. the flasher in the 07 is built into the bcm.
i was thinking that but i never assume until know which year make model first. but if you have intall the maestro radio replacement harness you can turn it off completely in the settings of the aftermarket radio.

if your 07 has the bose ANC (active noise cancellation) you will want to disable that if you add a separate subwoofer, it is pretty easy to do the wires are right under your cup holder
last i cahecked, the 07 model year didn't have anc and if ti did its not an issue when adding bass as ive done numerous installs with no problems even with the factory stereo.

my 12 has ANC had to cut the mic wires, it was causing some pretty bad feedback and it made the bose system more lively, not sure what year they started using the ANC

in your model year but all you have to do is pop out the mic and unplug it, cutting it was a little unnecessary, however still effective.

it was easier to just pull up the cup holder, snip the wires, then tear up the headliner trying to disconnect each mic, easily patched back together in the future if needed.

Yes sir but I took them out. Prefer the cargo space back there. I am figuring some kind of box setup behind the 2nd row seats.
Rockford fosgate 12 inch powered sub. It's an all in one solution that also gives you an "umbilical chord" with the way it connects to power and signal, so you can easily remove it if need be

Anyone with any electrical or audio questions feel free to ask and I will get back to you asap.

Welcome to TYF from another Chris, 2 hours east of you in BR and thanks for offering your experience!

Since you offered, whatcha know about Mitsubishi? I have a Kenwood DD to go into a 2011 Outlander Sport- 6 speaker system, no nav or Rockford Fosgate system. I believe that, on this level, it can be viewed as a Lancer. I have the Metra dash kit and harness and an Axxess ASWC-1. The factory radio has two harness plugs going to it and it looks like one is the basic power and speaker circuits and the other is the USB, AUX, microphone, etc. circuits. I am not finding solid info on where to get the car's data wire to connect the ASWC-1. Best I've found is the steering wheel control wires are in that other harness. I'm fine with cutting and tapping into them, just need to know what's what.
