I wish they were completely finished but I’ve still got more to do. I’ve been up since 9 cleaning and applying more of this paint thinner stuff. It works so amazing. I had planned on re-painting the wheels after sandblasting so I figured I’d try this before!

Digging the chrome... might have to clean them up and throw the idea of repainting them away.

These results are literally insane! a couple of coats from these two cans and a 2$ hose nozzle:

Removed the hitch this morning while letting the coats soak in!

Gotta remove the spare because it’s looks goofy. And also the plasti-dip off of the bumper.

Got new(er) tires today but phone broke so can't take pictures. 275/55/20 Bridgestone Duelers. Way more tread than whats on there now. Going to put them on when I replace the springs... :Big Laugh:.

Alright so I still don't have a phone which is bugging me to all hell because I can't take pictures. My drop springs came in... won't be putting them on until I buy shock extenders, which will be my next paycheck.. a week and 6 days from now (who's counting though...) :anitoof: I bought a front valance for 20$ off of a buddy with a 2002 Tahoe. (same guy I traded wheels with) I didn't even think to check if it fit.. it doesn't. I color matched using this process: I cleaned the hell out of it because the guy with the Tahoe liked to take it off-roading and there was an insane amount of dirt and red clay on it. I washed it with a hose and nozzle and then wiped it dry, then sprayed Mean Green until I could see the stock gray coming out of it. I was told I didn't have to sand down at all? I ran over it quite a few times with a Scotch-Brite pad just incase. 5 coats of Bulldog Adhesion Promoter to get the paint to stick to the plastic better, 5 coats of Dupli-Colors Pewter Met (11 WA382E) perfect match paint and then 5 coats of Dupli-Colors clear coat finish. Looks great in my opinion and a couple friends but we'll see what everyone here thinks. Now I am in the process of trimming it and getting it to fit to my bumper and if all fails I can buy one THAT FITS and do the color matching process again!

Just reading through this forum and wow, it's been almost two years since I last posted, and time has flown. Since the last post I graduated high school and joined the Navy. I got the truck shipped out to San Diego to me and I plan on finally working on it again now that I've got the money and means. I'm going to do everything the right way this time haha. Expect future updates if you're following the forum!
