Want to buy 2015 GMC YUKON SLT . It has 92000 miles. This would be my first GM. Been reading a lot of mixed reviews on forums and kinda scared to make this purchase. What would be the main things I should look for ? Issues? Is it a good buy? Is it reliable vehicle? I know per Carfax that the radio was fixed on it, rear tail light replaced because of a known issue, ac condenser replaced, windshield repaired and that’s bout it. Any input would be greatly appreciated it . Thanks

First and foremost, you need to look at the condition of the vehicle. Was it maintained? Did it have its oil changes and other maintenance? Has it been modified? Has it been wrecked? Has it a rental or livery vehicle? How many engine hours are on it? You should know the answers to these questions before delving into other known issues since if the vehicle was rode hard and put away wet, you probably would not want it.

Noticed you also posted this same question on GM Trucks and have some good replies. Doing a search on this forum in the search box on top right of the page for "2015 issues" will net you multiple pages of useful info. Happy reading and good luck with your research; it's a worthy effort prior to purchase so you can make a more informed decision.

Also check the NTSB website for recalls or service bulletins on that year

When I checked Carfax it stated it
Carfax stayed it had no accidents and it was registered as a rental in PA till it hit 25000mi. After it had a second owner where all repairs that I saw on Carfax were listed that i mentioned Earlier . Was thinking on calling a dealer to see if they had more info.

So I spoke to a dealer he said vacuum pump was replaced , radio repaired , right tail light replaced, windshield repaired , condenser replaced. Asked him about if there is shutter noise on the car he said solution is the new fluid that fixes it and it can be done before 100k warranty expires.

I recently thought I wanted a newer Tahoe. I have a 2002. I drove a 2014 that I liked but it had about 114k miles on it. The CARFAX said it spent it's life as a rental in 3 different states. I walked away. May have been a great rig over time but I also did not like the shoulder room. I am a big guy at 6'4" tall and 320 pounds. I need room. My 2002 has plenty.

Just make sure you are always able to just walk away from any vehicle. Don't let emotions sway you.

Seems like your covering all your bases. I would take the Yukon to a good independent mechanic and put it on the rack and check everything from top to bottom just to be sure. But that is just me.
