138k on the vehicle,....dropping the pan on mine (4wd) requires lowering the front diff. I also have a slight drip from the water water pump,.. so that will get replaced as well,...its just one more cover after the water pump right ?
It's not the cover that's hard, it's the harmonic balancer that has to come off to get to the cover. It's definitely not easy to remove or install. There's a slightly easier way, using a Chrysler puller and modifying the old bolt. You'll need a 1/2" impact. I'll look for the video. And when you install it you'll need a 1/2" drive torque wrench. It's a beast. Do yourself a favor and buy the ARP harmonic balancer bolt otherwise you have to buy 2 regular bolts and it's more difficult.
