Hi guys and I'm sure a few ladies! I am new to this forum because I have reclaimed my two door Tahoe from my oldest son. I bought this truck in 2001 and drove it until my oldest son started driving. He drove it for 6 years and then parked it at my Mother in Law's house. It sat there, under tall trees for 2 years. He was diligent about starting her and letting her get to temp at least once a month. This is probably why the engine is still solid. After a month worth of evenings and lots of elbow grease she started looking like herself. So, I took her to a mechanic I know who has a 99 Tahoe. Several dollars, Pizza and Beer later, she has all new brakes, suspension, fluids, steering parts, steering gear adjusted and runs like a top. New leather seats will be done in a few weeks, and paint will be redone in the Spring. From here on out she will be garaged with my '97 Cherokee. Her days of hauling scuba gear around are over. My daily driver is a Kia Optima. Still have a few minor things to fix, but she's getting there. Thanks for having me!

I always tell Valet parking [which is very rare on my end] to never park my Tahoe anywhere near a tree. Glad you got your well running Tahoe back. Glad your here!

nice preserved vehicles, as mentioned pictures would be nice to see, even the Cherokee (I like my Jeep’s as well, rare to see cherokees anymore where I am due to rust) and usually if you do they are clapped out. There is a very clean looking 99 2 door for sale by me and they are asking 15,500...never looked but people are asking a lot now if clean.

First one is a week or two after I got her back. It took rubbing compound and polish to get the paint back in shape. Second is her today in the garage.

And here’s her sister last winter. She generally gets driven on the weekends when I am teaching Scuba. I paid $200 for her 12 years ago!

Those 2-door trucks are a rare gem. This weekend, I saw an NBS 2-door Yukon with rear barn doors in pristine condition. She was a beauty!
