Oh you are too smart :). The 4DSC was the single college life days. Bimmers were single life, full time working days, Economy car was really supposed to be a beater to lessen miles on bimmer. Sold Bimmer for house and gas guzzler for family. Look forward to going back to Bimmer.

Correction: Look forward to going back to selfish sports coupe, fan of the rev match camaro and B58 440 gran coupe

Have you driven a b58 powered car yet? Like 8/10s of the performance of the f80 m4 and more friendly day to day. B58 is a great engine

Never drove but did tons of research. I never drove my M3 the way I should because of fear of vanos and subframe issues. Every 3 series or M after that had scary stuff to deal with or high maintenance concerns. With mine, I could afford maintenance but one big issue and car would probably sit for a hot minute lol. B58 supposed to be built way better, more reliable. I used to be a big fan of speed especially during my Supercharged Maxima days but the Tahoe dumbed my enthusiasm. All I need is a loud BOV nowadays

I miss my tuned 9000 Aero 5sp. It dyno'd 345/ft at the crank with only a stage 2 DIY tune (T5 Suite II) and a Spec Stage 2+ clutch. Ended up adding stage 3 tune, full 3" exhaust and Konis/SAS swaybar kit, PowerStop bushes all around. Sold it after having to pick between it, and my E39 540i 6sp when I moved across the country.

You made the right choice. It was fun, and I loved having a fast wagon, but I'm a BMW guy at heart and not being able to do donuts at will was a letdown. And the GM/Saab combo worked out in ways that was profoundly annoying. Packaging was a nightmare, etc.
