I have a 2022 Tahoe LS. The lift gate height is such that I have to duck under it. I did not realize the lift gate on the next model up
goes higher.
Does anyone know if I can replace the gas cylinders on mine to longer ones?

My understanding is that on some of these models, you can adjust the raised height of the lift gate. Others on this Forum will either confirm or deny.

I believe that you would need to change the lift arm of the lift gate assembly, in addition to the cylinders, themselves, to answer your question.

I have owned vehicles with a manual lift-gate that only had gas charged struts. When the struts got weak, the lift-gate would not open fully. The struts would slowly allow the lift-gate to close slightly.

When the lift-gate is open, see if you can manual push it higher? If so, replace the gas charged lift gate struts.

there should be a liftgate adjustment setting, but it may depend on the trim level or year.

There's definitely an adjustable setting on my '23 Yukon Denali. It's a "dial" around the button to open/close the tailgate, located in the center, overhead control panel. It's to allow people who park in a garage to set the tailgate to not hit the ceiling. Yours is likely set to that lower setting.

The 2022 Tahoe LS model came with a manual liftgate.
