They're all the same. Just confirm that they include resistors (even though the stock resistors are hit-or-miss in terms of working properly).

Don't like those too much. I want them to be stock looking, but LED, and black them out completely. this is my truck now.

shouldn't those be plug and play, no adding resistors or modifications

Should they be? Yes. Are they always? No.

They SHOULD come with resistors. If I were you, I'd confirm that they do. If they don't, they WILL blink too fast. If they do, they SHOULD work fine, but don't always, as the supplied resistors are crap.

People have yanked the stock resistors for 6 ohm resistors and solved the fast-blink problem entirely.

There is no difference between the G3s and G4s.

I agree that the black-housing LEDs don't look as good as the red ones, or the red ones blacked out.

I have stock blacked out taillights on my black 08 Yukon.. I am looking to buy LED taillights and black them out. I have found a couple different ones, which one do you guys recommend?
I don't know if some of those are the same, just listed different.
Thanks

I just got the G4 from one of the sponsor vendors (HIDGUY) and both lights come with the 10Ohm resistors and they worked great so far. I have tested to make sure that even when my battery level is below 14 and HID headlight is on and no hyper flashing. Shoot them and email and ask them to arrange and order the one with the correct resistor and you should be ok. They may be about 10-20 bux more expensive than the one on eBay, but check with them.

One thing to look out for is after you get the light, you may end up needing to change out the pin that goes from the light to the car chassis as the one that I got is completely different from the fitting on my 2010 Yukon. I had to unscrew the pin from the original tail light and replace the new one with the OEM one before I can install the light. So don't sell or throw the old light out too quickly :)

Dont want to have any problems melting the housings..

You SURE about that -- or, did they just come with the plastic insert (that is already on the truck-side) already attached to them? Mine came with the inserts already attached. Had to just pry off the plastic inserts from the pins (NOT easy to do), and then the pins just push into the inserts that are already mounted in the body.

I have an '09, so maybe they changed the pins/inserts -- I just can't imagine why they'd do that.

KMeloney you are right-- they didn't change them you just have to pry off the other ones. I installed them the other day and it actually messed up my blinking speed when i INSTALLED the 6 ohm resistors. I took the 6 ohm resistors off I got from vled's website and put on the 10 ohm one (Black box) that came with it, and it worked great plug-n-play!

installed the foglights today. A LOT easier than I thought it was. I'm stuck on something though. when you have to lift up and remove that fuse board, to plug in the cable for the harness, I can't take the fuse board completely off to see where I have to plug the wire into.. these is turning them on with that optima, and the low beams are the old ones, new ones on the weekend.

Whoa, really?! I've got resistors on the way from v-leds.com. Hmm... So, how did adding the resistors mess up the blinking, exactly?

funny that you ask... i installed one first, and afterwards i turned my car on and put the blinker on... no difference in blink speed... i know this sounds stupid but.. "if it ain't broke don't fix it"... instead i decided to install the 6ohm resistors since everyone was saying that the computer would throw an error and cause it to blink faster then normal.

As soon as i installed the 6 ohm resistor, i turned the car back on and it blinked correctly for 2-3 seconds before going into "hyper mode" and blinking freakishly fast. As soon as i spliced the ORIGINAL black box 10 ohm resistors, the blinking stopped. On the 2nd tail light I left the stock 10 ohm resistor. What's weird but makes sense is that I left one 6 ohm and one 10 ohm and tested it and they BOTH started blinking hyper mode.

When I put both 10 ohm resistors back on they were good to go.. weird. So I have the 6 ohm resistors from vled 's website JUST incase it ever starts happenning but it's been a few days since i've had them in and the everything has been blinking in-sync. here is a before and after pic of my new G4 LED tail's w/ HID 8k reverse lights.. thanks to everyone on the forum for all the info btw, i wouldn't have EITHER of these installs without reading all of this great info!!
