...but for trucks GMC is the way to go anyway IMHO...

What do you like better about the GMC trucks over the Chevrolet product?

I have heard over the years that their GMC "commercial grade" is just marketing.

But I have never owned a GMC so am interested to hear the differences if any.

As far as im concerned, its a nameplate/badge diff, nothing more, nothing less.

All marketing these days. GMC, Chevrolet, Cadillac, all three SUV's are made on the same assembly line, assembled by the same workers. Just badging (and sometimes a substantial price difference), nothing more. Way back when (in the 1960s) GM's divisions had different assembly plants, and even their own engines, but that ended long ago.
