So , I got the code for knock sensor bank 2 low voltage. I pulled the intake and sensors ...the rear one was literally sitting in water. I cleaned everything , put new OEM sensors & harness , drove it 50 miles. Still got the bank 2 code. Pulled the intake again , re torque , check all connections etc... Code returns. Drove and reset several times. Code returns. Disconnect the battery several times. 50 miles later ...code is back. Now my inspection is expired and registration is up soon too , and this thing won't pass inspection. Any other ideas what is setting this code off ?

I don't think you have an EGR valve on your '05.

How is the cooling system operating temp? Running hot can cause issues, as can running lean. Looked at fuel trims lately?

On a whim, you might remove and check the PCM connectors to make sure the contacts are clean. Water intrusion damage can be an issue in the connectors, especially at the low point.

If you get to removing the intake again, this video shows some tests you can make:

EDIT: another thing would be to get a wiring diagram and test the knock sensor signal -- as shown in the video -- at the PCM connector (without removing the intake); that would tell you if the signal is getting to the PCM.

I finally solved my sensor codes by relocating them. For whatever reason , they were not happy in the stock location anymore and I was sick of pulling the intake off. There are 2 threaded holes on the pass side head that fit the sensors perfectly. I put them in , torqued them correctly and the code never returned. more importantly ,I was able to get the truck inspected.

That is one way to do it. When i worked at the local gm dealership, we would run a tap down the threads to clean them a bit. That way we knew they were threaded perfectly. Always seemed to work... then again that was way closer to when these things were new and less rusty/corroded.

Now that i think about it... it would have been 99-04 trucks and suvs because the 05 would have been new on the lots still.... i think i may be getting old.
