Have you tried just pressing lock once, not twice? When and why would they have changed it?

Old ingrained habit! I just did it the way you guys said and it worked! We've had remote start since 2006 in our SV6 Montana and the manual's instructions are the same as well. Maybe the salesman taught us or maybe I liked seeing the lights flash twice, I don't know/remember! LOL Thanks!

Mine is press the lock button then hold the circled arrow (located at the top between the lock/unlock buttons) until it starts
