K & N Intakes

I've been looking between the two, would you say the difference of about double the price is worth it for a CAI, or would you guys say that the Air Charger would be sufficient.

I'm not going for immense power, and the charger gives about 6.72 (rated by K&N) for about $150, and the full intake gives about 10.25 for over $300.

I simply want a less restrictive intake, and less restrictive exhaust, again not going for any land speed records, so do you guys think that the Air Charger would work fine, has anyone used air chargers in their trucks?
I may make a hood scoop to blow air directly on the charger if I get one too so it will stay cool.

A TBI, right?

You can get a Volant CAI for $250 shipped. I am very happy with it, I know Atomic is running one also.

Exhaust is really restrictive in the TBI engine, starting with the intake, so upgrading will be an improvement.

I understand the restrictiveness which is why I want something a little less restrictive, I was wondering if anyone has had any bad or good experiences with air chargers.

I know CAI are always good, however with volant the only thing is it'll probably be a little more shipped here, where as I can just go to auto value here and get 30% off cause I have connections, so it would be the same price as K&N. Either way, my main concern is do you think Air Charger would be sufficient enough with a non-restrictive exhaust to allow the engine to breath easier, and give a little more oompff to the beast.
