Can you post some better pics, please. Also, did you do the install yourself and do you have the rear screen, does it integrate to watch movies from say Apple TV or Hulu live?
There’s lots of YouTube videos online as well as in-depth reviews and feedback. BOL in your search. Happy to give any feedback and info if needed.

I’ve run a Sony RSX-GS9 hi res music media player for 4 years. Amazing Sound Quality but using my iPhone for screen display and maps finally beat out pure SQ.

I swapped it out for a Kenwood 1057XR with the 10.1” floating touchscreen. Best touchscreen out imo. There’s zero glare from any direction, 1280 x 700 pixels, Apple/android car play, full 13 band eq for anyone not running a Dsp and will play my hi res audio files. Very happy with it so far.

added a usb and hdmi port as well.

It’s been over year sorry but I’d guess metra cause that’s what most folks carry in stock. They’re all metra or AAMP distribution usually.

2 questions
1) Kids, how are the kids with this? Wasnt sure how flus it was against the trim but any issues with kids trying to pull on it?
2) Top vents? Do they blow air at the unit?

Great question.. that was my first concern along will it look goofy sticking out.

No issues or blockage of anything or I would have fabricated the dash and done a flush install and relocated the hvac etc controls lower to the console area.

The screen can be adjusted as well to tilt either way

The tail does not wag the dog here in my house (j/k). My kids are all older tbh and my youngest is 14. They always do movies, shows on their iPhones on road trips at this age but they do like it along with being able to stream Netflix etc and there are dual audio zones so I can listen to whatever and they can do headphones if needed.

i'm curious how it plays back the hi res audio. do you connect to a DAP, or stream bluetooth? i'll be changing my head unit soon. I've been leaning alpine for obvious reasons, but have always thought kenwood was right up there with them. lmk Thanks nice install btw
